As the green lungs of the earth and an important habitat, forests are home to more than eighty per cent of all living creatures. The dangers that threaten the forest also threaten the forest dwellers, for example, indiscriminate logging, wrong agricultural practices, search for mineral resources, soil degradation, urbanisation, poaching, smuggling and trade in living organisms from the forest.
